Spike TV Names VP of Original Series

LOS ANGELES: Spike TV has appointed Alex Eastburg, the co-executive producer of the reality series Car Lot Cowboy, to the role of VP of original series.

Eastburg fills the newly created position from the network’s California offices, reporting to Tim Duffy, the senior VP of original series. Eastburg is responsible for overseeing development of the network’s non-scripted series.

Aside from Car Lot Cowboy, Eastburg has also served as co-executive producer on two seasons of the critically acclaimed Spike TV series DEA from Al Roker Entertaiment, the TLC hit Sarah Palin’s Alaska and truTV’s Tiger Team, among others.

“We’re thrilled to add Alex’s talents to our team,” said Sharon Levy, the executive VP of original series and animation. “We have worked extensively with him on a number of projects and we’ve always felt his vision and energy lines up perfectly with our Spike goals.
