MediaCorp & TBS Television Collaborate on Drama Special

SINGAPORE: MediaCorp and TBS Television are co-producing the TV drama special Mooncake, scheduled for broadcast on Channel U at the end of December.

The single-episode one-hour drama Mooncake will be filmed in Singapore and features a love story between a Singaporean Civil Defense Force (SCDF) officer and a Japanese woman. TBS proposed the idea for the collaboration following the assistance and friendship SCDF supplied to Japan during the March tsunami/earthquake.

MediaCorp’s deputy CEO, Chang Long Jong, said, “MediaCorp is delighted to partner with TBS on this inaugural project Mooncake. The collaboration offers a platform for our creative talents to exchange their expertise and introduce our MediaCorp artistes to the Japanese audience.
