Oxygen Makes New Hire

NEW YORK: Oxygen Media has made Joel K. Savitt the VP of production and operations.

Savitt will oversee all elements of production operations for Oxygen’s current programming and development, including budgeting, scheduling, post-production management, legal, travel and other logistical issues. Savitt will also act as liaison between the production department and network marketing, communications, business and legal affairs, advertising sales, digital teams and all other key production-related areas.

Savitt reports to Cori Abraham, the senior VP of development in Oxygen’s west coast office. Previously, Savitt was the VP of production at Katalyst Films during production of the feature films Spread and Killers, and managed production of television shows and pilots for ABC, The CW, BET, Bravo, Comedy Central, OWN, Style and truTV.
