LOS ANGELES: Fox Networks has signed up Verizon FiOS TV and Mediacom for its FOX on Demand VOD offering and its recently launched online authentication service.

FOX on Demand offers programming such as Glee, Family Guy and The Simpsons, as well as new fall shows like New Girl and Terra Nova, for viewers to watch the day after each episode airs. The episodes remain on the service for 28 days. To get the new shows the day after the initial air date, subscribers can visit FOX.com or Hulu.com and log in with their authenticated subscriber ID and password.

Viewers who are not subscribed to a participating distributor must wait eight days to watch new episodes after their air date. DISH Network is also on board to offer the service to its customers.

“We want viewers who subscribe to participating pay television providers to have the most access possible to FOX programming,” said Oren Lieber, the VP of distribution for Fox Networks. “We’re pleased that Verizon and Mediacom have recognized the value these services will provide in enhancing the products they offer to consumers.”

“FOX programming is an important addition to both our VOD and online offerings,” added Terry Denson, the VP of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. “We continue to put the best content in the hands of our FiOS TV customers, offering a convenient way to access FOX programming in more ways and more places—whether it’s on the TV, online or on a mobile device.”
