NBC Unveils Holiday Lineup

UNIVERSAL CITY: NBC’s lineup of original seasonal programs is to include the new holiday variety special A Michael Buble Christmas, The Sing-Off Holiday Special and William & Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage, among others.

NBC’s traditional tree-lighting special, Christmas in Rockefeller Center 2011, is returning November 30, and The 85th Anniversary of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, airing on November 24, explores 85 years of the parade tradition. The fourth annual holiday special from WWE and NBC, WWE Tribute to the Troops, will air December 17, while a two-hour special featuring Saturday Night Live holiday sketches, Saturday Night Live Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas, will air December 20.

NBC will also broadcast The Sing-Off Holiday Special featuring songs performed by the winning groups from all three seasons, and William & Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage, a special that offers a new look at the couple’s first months of marital life. The network will telecast feature films such as Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who!, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Bee Movie. The holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life will air twice on December 3 and in its annual Christmas Eve slot.
