ITV Studios Lands Format Sales

CANNES: ITV Studios Global Entertainment has secured a number of format sales across Europe, including Come Dine with Me in Lithuania and Latvia and Dancing on Ice in Greece.

 

Nelonen Media in Finland, BTV in Lithuania, TV3 in Latvia and IBA Channel 1 in Israel have commissioned the format Come Dine with Me, now produced in 34 countries. The factual entertainment format features amateur chefs competing against each other by hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. The established format has been licensed by Gil Productions in Israel, which will produce the format locally. Big Adventure will produce the format in Lithuania, and Santa TV in Latvia. Nelonen and Fremantle have entered into a co-production to produce the format in Finland.Antenna TV in Greece has commissioned Dancing on Ice, currently in 14 territories. Antenna TV has picked up 13 episodes and ENA will produce the format locally.
 
Pro TV in Romania ordered Four Weddings for their summer 2012 schedule, with the format now being produced in 17 territories. It follows four competing brides—from proper traditionalists to control freaks—who must score each special day. The bride with the highest score at the end of each episode wins a five-star dream honeymoon. The format will be produced by Media Pro Entertainment, part of Central European Media Enterprise.
