Globo Showcases Adventure Doc Series

SÃO PAULO: Globo TV International is highlighting the four-episode documentary series Extreme Planet, which shows the journey of a team of Brazilian journalists traveling through the Antarctic, the Andes, Norway and the Bahamas, at MIPCOM.

 

In the Antarctic episode, runners from 16 countries face -30 degree Celcius temperature and winds of up to 100 km/hour in a marathon race, while in the Andes episode, the mission is to repeat the trail taken 39 years ago by the rugby players who survived a plane crash in the largest mountain range in the world. In the Norway episode, the journalists confront the threat of bears, treacherous trails and snowstorms to see the Aurora Borealis, and in the Bahamas, the travelers are challenged with diving in the most dangerous caves in the world.
