SILVER SPRING: Discovery Networks International (DNI) has promoted Armando de Castro to the role of VP of finance from senior director of financial planning and analysis.

 

De Castro will be based in Silver Spring and will continue to report to Doug Baker, the senior VP and CFO of DNI. As the VP of finance, he will guide the financial reporting and analysis activities of advertising sales, affiliate sales, content and operations, along with the consolidation and divisional analytic activities of DNI’s international regions. He is also responsible for all financial interfaces with DCI corporate finance, investor relations and corporate communications departments. He joined Discovery in 2006 as the director of corporate development.
 
“Armando’s proven track record and extensive background working in finance make him the ideal candidate to help support our international finance operations. He brings a wealth of media operations, business development and financial planning and analysis knowledge to this role,” Baker said.
