New Chairman for IFTA

LOS ANGELES: The Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA) has elected Paul Hertzberg, the president and CEO of CineTel Films, as its new chairman for a two-year term.

IFTA also re-elected Pierre David, the chairman and CEO of Imagination Worldwide, as vice chairperson and Brad Kembel, the executive VP of international distribution at Summit Entertainment, as vice chairperson/secretary for additional two-year terms.

Executive committee members continuing their two-year terms are Elisabeth Costa de Beauregard Rose, the senior VP of international sales at Lakeshore Entertainment Group, as chairperson of the export alliance; Richard Guardian, the president of Guardian Entertainment, as vice chairperson; Avi Lerner, the chairman and CEO of Nu Image, as vice chairperson/finance; and Mark Lindsay as vice chairperson. Elected today to two-year terms on the board of directors are outgoing chairperson Lloyd Kaufman, the president of Troma Entertainment; Shaked Berenson, the COO of Epic Pictures Group; Carl Clifton, a partner in sales and marketing at K5 Media Group; Roger Corman, the president of New Horizons Picture Corp.; Kirk D’Amico, the president and CEO of Myriad Pictures; Albert Lee, the CEO of Emperor Motion Pictures; Bobby Meyers, the founder of Meyers Film Entertainment; Kathy Morgan, the president of Kathy Morgan International; Ed Noeltner, the president of Cinema Management Group; and Lise Romanoff, the managing director of worldwide sales at Vision Films.

Jack Campbell, the VP of international sales of Maya Entertainment, and Peter Kujawski, the executive VP of international sales at Focus Features, will serve as alternates.
