LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has landed the international distribution rights for three live-action kids’ series from Saban Brands, including Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.

MarVista has the distribution rights for Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, the only live-action version of the brand in the market, Beetleborgs and VR Troopers. Beetleborgs, targeted to kids ages 6 to 11, features magic and monsters. VR Troopers also targets kids 6 to 11 with classic good vs. evil story lines.

“Saban Capital Group acquired this powerful lineup of children’s programming, originally developed and produced by Saban, as part of the company’s re-acquisition of the Power Rangers franchise last year,” said Elie Dekel, the president of Saban Brands. “These incredible action shows were staples on broadcast networks around the globe, and we are confident that MarVista, our distribution partner for Power Rangers, is the right partner to re-introduce these properties to the international marketplace.”

“There is more demand than ever in the overseas markets for action and adventure oriented kids programming with a comedic strand, and these three properties deliver on all counts,” added Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “We are naturally delighted to extend our relationship with Saban Brands and present these programs at MIPCOM to the many traditional and new outlets, all clamoring for this type of content. In particular, demand for the Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation is expected to be high with the new CGI series and feature film anticipated to debut in 2012.”
