SEOUL: The HD channel Life Inspired (Li) is co-producing the culinary show EdVentures in Asia with CREO Contents, Arirang TV and CJ Media, marking its third collaboration with the Korea-based outfits.

The 13-episode series, set to air in early 2012, stars chef Edward Kwon and features his travels across Asia to create new fusion dishes. Kwon is the former hotel head chef of the Burj al-Arab Hotel in Dubai.

Janice Cheng, the head of content at Li, said, “Our partnership with CREO Contents, Arirang TV and CJ Media to produce EdVentures in Asia is in line with our mission to promote Asian lifestyle personalities like Edward Kwon, one of the most sought-after and talented chefs in this continent. We’re also on an aggressive lookout for co-production partners for our slate of upcoming original productions in 2012 onwards.”

“We’re very excited about working with Li and along with CJ Media and Arirang TV in this international co-production,” said Hoseok Alex Cho, the executive director of CREO Contents. “It is an unexplored new territory of business for many Korean production houses, especially in the genre of reality lifestyle. CREO Contents values the partnership with Li, and we intend to embark on more projects with them to produce high quality content for international audiences beyond Asia.”
