Desperate Housewives to End at Season Eight

BURBANK: ABC has revealed that the eighth season of Marc Cherry‘s Desperate Housewives will be its last, with the series ending in May 2012.

ABC has said that the eighth and final season will be presented in a way that is accessible even to viewers who may not have followed the previous seasons closely. The season will feature the aftermath from Carlos’s murder of Gaby’s evil stepfather, and the cover up by Susan, Gaby, Bree and Lynette.

Desperate Housewives, created by Marc Cherry and produced by ABC Studios, stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Vanessa Williams, Ricardo Antonio Chavira and Doug Savant.
