Telemundo’s Aurora Hits Europe

MIAMI: The widely distributed Telemundo novela Aurora has premiered in Romania and Lithuania.

On Monday, Aurora aired on channel TV3 in Lithuania and on Acasa TV in Romania. It has been picked up in more than 15 countries and is currently airing in Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Croatia, Nicaragua and Georgia. It was also the second highest-rated premiere for Telemundo’s 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. time slot in the U.S.

The novela, which stars Sara Maldonado, Eugenio Siller, Jorge Luis Pila and Aylin Mujica, tells the love story between the characters Aurora and Lorenzo, a poor man. After it is discovered that Aurora is pregnant by Lorenzo, her parents forbid her from seeing him, and following the birth, Aurora is diagnosed with an incurable disease. Her father freezes her for 20 years while he attempts to find a cure, and when she awakens, nothing is the same.
