LOS ANGELES: Terry O’Quinn is joining fellow Lost alumnus Daniel Dae Kim on the cast of the CBS hit Hawaii Five-0 in its second season.

O’Quinn, who won an Emmy Award in 2007 for his supporting role on Lost, will portray a Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and served with his father in Vietnam. The character makes its debut in the premiere episode of season two this September.

"We are all honored and excited that Emmy Award-winning Terry O’Quinn has joined our Hawaii Five-0 ‘ohana’ (Hawaiian for family)," said Peter Lenkov, the show’s executive producer. "O’Quinn’s character, who we will meet in the premiere, is going to be a major contributor to our team… because he taught McGarrett everything he knows."

Produced by CBS Television Studios, the show is sold worldwide by CBS Studios International.
