MIAMI: Cisneros Group’s Venevision International is to present its slate at DISCOP this week featuring two hit telenovelas, The Black Widow and Eva Luna.

The Black Widow (La Viuda Joven) is the story of Inmaculada Rojas, a woman who marries a wealthy German after being scandalized and cast out of a beauty pageant. When her husband dies, she subsequently remarries two more times to millionaires who also die, leaving her reputation sullied amid accusations of being a “black widow.”

Eva Luna, the highest-rated domestically-produced novela in U.S. history, focuses on the love triangle between Eva, Daniel, who is a successful advertising executive, and his best friend Leonardo. When Eva’s father is killed during a hit-and-run, she vows to find the killer and must uncover the truth while searching for love.

“After our successful participation at the recent L.A. Screenings, we are prepared to focus on the European market, presenting a comprehensive programming proposal of diverse genres that will meet the specific needs of each territory in the region,” said Manuel Perez, the VP and CFO of Venevision International.
