NEW YORK: Yvonne Body, the head of co-productions and acquisitions at Beyond Distribution, discusses what qualities she believes give a show broad global appeal, along with talking about what’s on her current shopping list, as well as her thoughts on what buyers are looking for nowadays.

 

Approaching a decade-long tenure with Beyond, Body has been sourcing and developing programming from around the world out of the company’s London-based office. Sh has been building up a catalogue that comprises more than 4,000 hours across a range of genres. Body sees this breadth as one of Beyond’s core strengths, as the company works across factual, factual entertainment, children’s, drama, science and technology, travel, history and more. Across all the genres, she keeps an eye out for programs that have mass appeal for audiences worldwide.
