TV Azteca Gears Up for DISCOP

MEXICO CITY: A mix of dramas, comedies, thrillers and more are part of TV Azteca’s DISCOP highlights, led by the title Cielo Rojo.

The 120×1-hour Cielo Rojo tells the story of a couple who seem to be meant for each other, yet destiny has been keeping them apart. The 120×1-hour Emperatriz follows a woman who has fallen in love with a man who betrays her and has taken her newborn daughter. She makes it her mission to take revenge and get her daughter back.

In the way of comedy, TV Azteca highlights Lucho en Familia. The 40×1-hour series is centered on a retired wrestler who returns to the ring to support his family. Bajo el Alma is a drama that tells the story of a family who’s dealing with the troubles of a pharmaceutical laboratory that is their family heritage.

There are also a number of suspense thrillers on the roster, including When Night Falls (Al Caer La Noche). The 20×1-hour series explores the world of hidden dangers in a society that comes to life when everyone else is sleeping. Drowning City (Drenaje Profundo), also a 20×1-hour suspense thriller, features an old conspiracy and spotlights the disparity that arises between two different worlds in the darkest depths of Mexico City.

Rounding out the slate is the romantic drama Running from Destiny (Prófugas del Destino). The 130×1-hour series looks at three women who are serving time for crimes they did not commit. When they finally get the chance to escape, they assume the identity of three nuns.
