LONDON: Sky is to be Glee‘s new U.K. home, after the platform reached a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution for the third and future seasons of the show.

Wrapping its second season on Channel 4 and E4, Glee heads to Sky 1 HD for season three this fall. It will also be accessible via Sky Anytime+ and Sky+, and online through Sky Player. Sky has also secured the rights to the ten-part reality series The Glee Project, which premiered on Oxygen in the U.S. last night. In the show, young artists vie for a seven-episode arc on the next season of Glee. The Glee Project will also air this fall.

"Glee has been nothing short of a phenomenon and we’re thrilled to secure the future of the show for our customers with this life of series deal," said Stuart Murphy, the director of programs at Sky 1 HD, Sky 1, 2 and Pick TV. "It’s the perfect fit for Sky 1 and we’re thrilled to be able to build on the success it has already achieved, and we hope our customers will be as chuffed and excited as we all are. This deal is part of a long-term commitment to investing in programming—both originated and acquired—that will continue to deliver the best choice, quality and value to our customers."
