SHERMAN OAKS: Leeza Gibbons is to join Bill Rancic as co-host for America Now, a daily news program from Raycom Media and ITV Studios America.

The show launches as a daily first-run series starting this fall. America Now has been airing as a weekend series on Raycom stations. The 30-minute news program will now deliver daily short segments of timely information. Topics cover health and beauty, finance, family, home and more.

Gibbons has co-hosted such shows as Entertainment Tonight and Extra, along with executive producing and hosting her own NBC-syndicated talk show, Leeza. She currently hosts the PBS nationally syndicated lifestyle show My Generation.

“I’m thrilled to return to television with a program that is meant to enhance the lives of viewers with information they can put to use immediately,” said Gibbons. “Today’s consumers have practically unlimited resources for information, but they have a finite amount of time. If we can help deliver succinct tools and advice that make viewers smarter, safer, stronger and more empowered, then we’ve done our jobs.”

“We are very proud to welcome Leeza to our family to co-host America Now with Bill,” added Paul McTear, the president and CEO of Raycom Media. “Her experience with magazine shows and news content will add a vital new dimension to the program.”

“Leeza’s extensive background as a talk-show host, news reporter and social advocate makes her the ideal partner for us,” commented Paul Buccieri, the CEO and president of ITV Studios America.
