laSexta Scores New J.J. Abrams Dramas

MADRID: Spanish broadcaster laSexta has picked up the rights to the new FOX series Alcatraz and the CBS show Person of Interest, both from J.J. Abrams.

The new shows, distributed by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, were among the most buzzed-about offerings from the L.A. Screenings last month. The acquisitions are part of the Spanish network’s efforts to strengthen its lineup of international fiction.

American shows already airing on laSexta include The Mentalist, Bones‚ NCIS and The Walking Dead.
