ROME: Mondo TV has taken home the Gaj Tachè prize in the audio-visual category for the cartoon Kim, which is produced in collaboration with Rai Fiction.

The award was delivered in Rome’s city hall and presented by mayor Gianni Alemanno; the award’s jury was comprised of primary school children in the city. Kim is broadcast by RAI-2 and Rai Gulp, directed by Giuseppe Laganà; the series centers on the fantastic adventures of Kim, an orphan in India of late nineteenth century, who tries to find his origin.

Orlando Corradi, the president of Mondo TV, said: “The award to Mondo TV acquires a special value, because it has been assigned to us by children. I share the words of President Garimberti, especially for the social function that the cartoon plays and I thank him and the entire staff of RAI Fiction for the exhilarating experience. The love we have for our work allows us to transmit positive values to children, who appreciated this and made us proud of this achievement.”
