L.A. Screenings: New from Warner Bros.

LOS ANGELES: Warner Bros. has two new J.J. Abrams series to offer international buyers—FOX’s Alcatraz and CBS’s Person of Interest—in addition to his renewed show Fringe.

Alcatraz, launching midseason, is a thriller centered on America’s most infamous prison, while Person of Interest, slated for CBS Thursdays in CSI‘s former home (the show has been moved to Wednesdays) is about a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Fringe will be back for a fourth season on FOX.

Other dramas in the mix are Hart of Dixie, from the Gossip Girl team of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and The Secret Circle, based on a series of books by author L.J. Smith. both for The CW. The comedy slate includes CBS’s 2 Broke Girls, NBC’s Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, FOX’s I Hate My Teenage Daughter, and ABC’s Suburgatory and Work It.
 

Returning hits include Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, The Mentalist, Two and a Half Men with new star Ashton Kutcher and The Big Bang Theory.
