The Queen of the South Finds Home in Albania

MIAMI: Telemundo Internacional’s The Queen of the South has scored carriage on Albania’s Channel DigitalB.

The telenovela centers on the story of Teresa Mendoza, played by Kate Del Castillo, a humble young woman whose life takes a turn when she falls in love with the wrong man and finds herself in the world of drug trafficking.

In the U.S., The Queen of the South pulled in some 2.4 million viewers, while in Spain the show’s premiere garnered 16 percent audience share. The telenovela comes from Spanish writer and journalist Arturo Perez-Reverte.
