LOS ANGELES: Fox Sports Media Group is set to produce a six-part original series for FUEL TV, Bruce Lee Lives!, which is scheduled to debut on the channel on June 17.

The half-hour series, which is produced by Pangolin Pictures, centers on the martial artist’s influence on celebrities, such as Ryan Phillippe, Carlos Santana, Jesse Ventura and a variety of others. Each episode features a personal celebrity story and focuses on Lee’s impact on pop culture.

Of the series, executive producer Joey Allen commented: ”It’s been an epic experience to film the many diverse worlds and individuals Bruce Lee continues to influence today.”

Shane Coburn, FUEL TV’s director of development and current programming, commented: “Despite Bruce Lee’s passing almost 38 years ago, he continues to have an overwhelming impact on the martial arts world and many credit him with being the father of modern-day mixed martial arts. But Lee’s vision went far beyond hand-to-hand combat as he pushed athletic, artistic and cultural boundaries.”
