Skywriter Highlights MIPTV Sales

TORONTO: Skywriter Media and Entertainment Group secured a number of deals at MIPTV for its children’s, lifestyle and documentary programming, totaling 160 half-hours of content sold.

Skywriter secured a renewal from AETN UK for its 16×30-minute documentary series Crimes of Passion, as well as extended rights for the show with AETN’s channels in the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The series features interviews with violent offenders, reliving stories of how love turns to murder.

In the children’s genre, Skywriter’s 78×30-minute kid’s series Atomic Betty sold for free-TV in Malaysia to the Media Prima Group. Meanwhile, the 26×11-minute The Wumblers, the 13×30-minute first season of Planet Echo and the 13×30-minute This Is Turtle Island sold to Echo TV Productions in the Middle East.

As for Skywriter’s lifestyle programming, the company licensed the 27×30-minute series Homestyle also to Echo TV Productions.
