FashionOneTV Breaks Into Korean Market

CANNES: FashionOneTV has entered the Korean market after signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KT (formerly Korea Telecom) and is expected to launch on KT’s IPTV platform in mid-2011.

 

As part of the deal, which was facilitated by GlobeCast, FashionOneTV will be distributed through KT’s N-Screen Service, including IPTV, online, tablet PC, mobile and other devices on both wired and wireless platforms.
 
Olleh is KT’s brand identity, which also incorporates OTV (Olleh TV—KT’s live channel, VOD and interactive service).
 
In addition, HIGHTV 3D, the sister channel to FashionOneTV, is also set to enter the Korean market after signing an MOU with KT. HIGHTV 3D is the first 3D entertainment channel distributed to more than 1billion households across the world.
 
Dongsoo Park, the VP for content and media business unit of KT, said: “We are very pleased to have a partnership with FashionOneTV and HIGHTV 3D to provide high-quality programming on our platform.
