TLC International Secures Further Carriage

NEW YORK: Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the global launch of TLC International, the channel is headed for a slot in the Netherlands, with full distribution to 7 million homes starting July 4. 

The female-skewed service is now available in eight European and 25 Asian markets, reaching more than 50 million households outside the U.S. TLC is on track to reach 75 markets and 100 million households this year. The channel’s U.S. reach is more than 99 million homes.

"TLC’s early ratings success is encouraging and we remain focused on continuing to grow TLC into a truly global female-driven brand and a strong complement to our flagship Discovery Channel."

The channel’s first launch outside of the U.S. was in March 2010 in Norway. It’s also on air in Poland, as well as Australia and Italy, among other territories.
