ZDFE Unveils Online Screening Service Ahead of MIPTV

MAINZ: A new online screening service from ZDF Enterprises allows registered users to view trailers and full-length programs from the company’s catalogue, which spans factual, children’s, drama and more.

ZDF Enterprises’ portfolio includes a number of new factual highlights. These programs have been co-produced with partners such as National Geographic Channel U.S. and Discovery Channel Canada. Titles include Repossessed!, about the activities of America’s repo men; Hard Time, featuring the life of prisoners and guards at a maximum security prison; and Licence to Drill, centered on the men drilling for gas in the Canadian Arctic.

Among ZDFE’s doc highlights are 9/11: Science and Conspiracy and Dawn of the Ocean. Another sea-focused program is Adventure Ocean Quest. Further highlights include Jack the Ripper, Egypt’s Lost Rival, A Traveler’s Guide to the Planets and Mars: Making the New Earth.

There are also a number of new children’s programs to be on offer, including the adventure film The Hunt for Hannibal’s Treasure and the animated series Sherlock Yack: Zoo Detective. New adventures of Marsupilami are included on the slate, alongside a second season of The Elephant Princess.

The company has a lineup of dramas that includes The Protectors, as well as two police thrillers featuring Rolf Lassgård as Sweden’s top police profiler Sebastian Bergman. The slate is rounded out by the robber caper Jack of Diamonds and the medical daily Flickering Hearts: Lifeline, Loveline.
