LONDON: Passion Distribution has secured a second-season pickup for its docu-series Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back from UKTV’s Watch, and will be launching the new season at MIPTV.

The series, which comes from Daisybeck Productions in association with Passion, has returned with a 17-episode order for its second season. The show follows the stories of a group of overweight teens that have been enrolled into Wellspring Academy in North Carolina, a school dedicated to weight loss. The second season began airing on the U.S. cable channel Style Network on March 8.

Sally Miles, the founder and CEO of Passion Distribution, said: “We are so excited this series is continuing to build as a brand with 25 hours now produced and in production. Daisybeck has really pulled out all the stops on season two to make it bigger with returning and new characters and with compelling story lines! The show is building such a strong following in both the U.S. and the U.K. and has previously sold to XYZ in Australia, TV3 in New Zealand, Discovery in Italy and Discovery EMEA.”
