Warner Bros. Names New VP in Business Development

LONDON: Warner Bros. International TV Production (WBITVP) has appointed Adam Joy to the newly created position of VP of business development.

In his new role, Joy will be responsible for identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities, as well as possible joint ventures and strategic alignments with international production companies as WBITVP expands its production businesses outside the U.S. Joy will also lead all aspects of structuring and negotiating transactions, while coordinating transactions across operational divisions. He will report to Alex Ogilvie, the head of business development for WBITVP and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, and will be based in London.

Joy brings 17 years of experience in the media and finance industry to WBITVP. He was previously the head of media corporate finance at Numis Securities and served as an adviser in multiple acquisitions. Before his position at Numis, Joy was managing director at Ingenious Corporate Finance.

Ronald Goes, the executive VP of WBITV Production, said: “Adam has extensive experience in the media finance sector having worked on a wide variety of complex transactions. We will look to him for his knowledge, relationships and financial know-how as we grow this new business."
