Power Rangers Finds French Home

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has landed a deal with Lagardère Active for the exclusive pay- and free-TV rights to 40 episodes of Power Rangers: Samurai, to air in France on kids’ TV channels Canal J and Gulli.

The half-hour show, which first premiered in 1993 and is heading into its nineteenth season, is set to premiere in France in April on cable channel Canal J, while debuting later in the year on free digital terrestrial TV on Gulli.

Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment, commented: “We are excited to have signed this important agreement with Lagardère Active to introduce Power Rangers: Samurai to viewers across France. Power Rangers has always been enormously popular in the French territory and we are delighted that the series will debut this coming April on Canal J to existing and new fans of the franchise.”
