New GM for Disney Media Distribution in OZ, NZ

SYDNEY: The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand has appointed Haydn Arndt as general manager for Disney Media Distribution.

Arndt is responsible for managing sales and distribution for Disney/ABC Television and The Walt Disney Studios content. He will be charged with developing and executing the sales strategy for TWDC television and studios content across all platforms. He will be based in Sydney, reporting to John Cracknell, the managing director of The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand.

Previously, Arndt spent four years as senior VP of international TV sales for NBC Universal Asia-Pacific. Prior to that he worked for Walt Disney International Television for the U.K. and Ireland.

“Haydn brings a wealth of experience, both in sales and distribution and with The Walt Disney Company, to this role,” said Cracknell. “In a constantly evolving marketplace, he is the right person to work closely with our many valuable partners in Australia and New Zealand to move the business forward.”
