MUNICH: SevenOne International has scored a pickup for the game show My Man Can from Ukraine’s 1+1, which will launch a local version on February 13.

The show will be produced in Russian as well as in Ukrainian, depending on the origin of the candidates. The game show will air under the local title Miy Zmozhe, with hosts Andriy Domanskiy and Vera Brezhneva. It will be produced by Irina Ionova.

Axel Böhm, the regional sales director and head of international fiction acquisition at SevenOne International, said: "On My Man Can, the women are in charge and guys who think of themselves as the lords of creation have to show what they’re really made of. A good many couples only really first get to know each other on the show. Now Ukrainian TV audiences will also be finding out whether men can keep their wives’ and girlfriends’ promises."

My Man Can has also been picked up for production by FremantleMedia for Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Deals have been closed by SevenOne for the show in France and Italy as well. It is currently airing in China on Jiang Su Satellite Channel.
