TORONTO: TELETOON Canada has put out a call for aspiring and professional animators to submit online content for the TELETOON at Night Pilot Project for a chance to win C$10,000.

From February 6 to July 15 contestants are invited to submit original animation or animation-related short films. Submissions must be no more than 5 minutes in length and can be in English or French. The winner of each English and French contest will receive C$10,000, two roundtrip tickets to Canada, four nights accommodation in Ottawa and two delegate passes to the Television Animation Conference and Ottawa International Animation Festival.

TELETOON at Night Pilot Project follows on the original TELETOON Pilot Project, which launched in fall 2007 and invited Canadian producers to submit proposals to produce a pilot in either English or French to be aired on TELETOON.

“The TELETOON at Night Pilot Project is an important initiative which offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for animation enthusiasts,” said Russell Ward, the VP of marketing at TELETOON Canada. “As an active player in the animation industry, this project gives TELETOON the opportunity to recognize and open a door of possibility to raw and undiscovered creative talent.”
