MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises is on board as a co-producer on adaptations of the "Jack Taylor” crime novels by Irish author Ken Bruen, and will also represent the films in continental Europe.

The series of adaptations kicks off with The Magdalen Martyrs and The Pikemen, which are currently in production with Iain Glen in the lead role as charismatic private detective Jack Taylor.

“We are delighted to be participating in the production of the ‘Jack Taylor’ cycle as European distribution partners," said Alexander Coridass, CEO of ZDF Enterprises. "The finely crafted adaptations of the internationally successful Ken Bruen novels add a special note to the ZDF Enterprises catalogue. They’re powerful stories with a charming, rough-edged private detective who investigates suspenseful cases on the West-Irish coast. The lead role is cast with renowned actor Iain Glen. And the production values are top notch. Three reasons that ensure the success of this high-quality format throughout Europe.”
