CABLEready Adds Sitcoms to Slate

NORWALK/MIAMI: CABLEready is entering the scripted programming arena for the first time, offering up two sitcoms—including one with Married with Children’s David Faustino—at NATPE this week.

The two original comedies are being produced by Dan Garcia Productions. Announcing the expansion for the company, Gary Lico, president and CEO, commented, “While non-fiction and reality programming will always play a key role in the success of CABLEready, it is an exciting part of the company’s evolution to strategically expand into other sectors of the television programming landscape."

Things We Do For Love is a 5×30-minute show with a cast that includes Maria Conchita Alonzo, Tamara Mowry and James Avery. Clunkers is a 9×30-minute semi-scripted, single-camera comedy with Carl Anthony Payne and David Faustino.
