Asian Sales for Moonscoop

PARIS: Moonscoop has wrapped up a number of deals across Asia, boosting its presence in the region following last month’s ATF in Singapore.

Truevisions of Thailand picked up Gasp and The DaVincibles, while pubcaster PBS grabbed Chloe’s Closet and season two of SamSam. In Malaysia, NTV 7 opted for Geronimo Stilton and The DaVincibles, as well as renewing the The Fantastic Four. Indonesia’s PT Crown Entertainment acquired Hero:108 for TV and home video. Taiwan’s yoyo TV and Korean IP VOD channel KTH snagged Chloe’s Closet. Hong Kong’s PCCW bought the first season of Dive Olly Dive for its NOW TV platform.

Korea’s EBS acquired Chloe’s Closet and Geronimo Stilton. Nickelodeon Korea signed up for A Town Called Panic. Taiwan’s PTS took on SamSam season two, after having previously picked up rights to season one and home video. Meanwhile Christian channel Good TV bought Toddworld. In Malaysia, Ava Riko Teo was picked up by Astro Chinese Channel. Indonesia’s PT Indosiar opted for Pet Alien season one and Dive Olly Dive season two.

Lionel Marty, the president of worldwide sales at Moonscoop, said: “Asia has proven to be a major market for our shows, and last year we signed a significant volume of sales in the region. We are very pleased to be continuing this momentum in 2011 by kicking off the New Year with a slate of new sales to Asian platforms.”
