AXN Beyond Scores New U.S. Dramas

SINGAPORE: AXN Beyond, SPE Networks—Asia’s entertainment channel that is available in about 13 markets in the region, has picked up the rights to the Syfy series Being Human and to Starz’s upcoming Camelot.

AXN Beyond viewers across Asia will be able to see Camelot the same week that it premieres in the U.S. Being Human will debut February 2, just two weeks after its U.S. broadcast.

“The great production values and edginess in these acquisitions will really appeal to our viewers," said Ricky Ow, senior VP and general manager of SPE Networks—Asia. "It is especially exciting that we are able to bring these new American TV series to Asia so shortly after their U.S. debuts. With both shows premiering in the first half of 2011, there is a lot to look forward to on AXN Beyond.”
