Oxygen Unveils 2011 Slate

PASADENA: With plans to increase its programming by 32 percent for the year, Oxygen has lined up a number of new and returning series for its 2011 grid.

The docu-series All About Aubrey follows the ups and downs of former Danity Kane band member Aubrey O’Day as she records a new album and tries to find love. The series is set for a March 7 debut. Coming in April, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott will help other couple’s plan their dream weddings in Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings. Also set for a spring launch is The World According to Paris, a new reality series featuring Paris Hilton. The show offers an unprecedented look into the real life of the socialite heiress. The mid-season schedule is rounded out by The Glee Project, a ten-episode competition show that finds and trains a group of performs who will compete to win a guest starring role on the hit show Glee. Oxygen will debut the series in June. Award-winning executive producers Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto of the mega-hit NBC television series have signed on to executive produce The Glee Project.

Two projects are in Oxygen’s development pipeline: Love Scouts, which features an entrepreneur who helps 20-somethings find love in Hollywood; and Dance Complex, which goes behind the scenes of one of L.A.’s hottest dance studios. These series join the previously announced Best Ink (working title) tattoo competition series.

Returning to Oxygen are Hair Battle Spectacular, Bad Girls Club and Love Games. Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood and the previously announced Bachelorette Party are slated to debut later this year.
