MTV Scores with Jersey Shore Premiere

NEW YORK: The debut of the third season of Jersey Shore delivered 8.45 million total viewers, becoming MTV’s highest rated series telecast ever.

The season three premiere averaged an 8.3 rating with the 12-to-34 demographic and 6.5 million viewers in the same group. This is more 12-to-34 viewers than any broadcast and cable TV show this season. The debut of its third run was up 63 percent over the season two premiere and 36 percent verses the season two finale. Also within the 12-to-34 group, Jersey Shore is 46-percent above the season two average.
