NEW YORK: Bravo Media has promoted Andy Cohen to executive VP of original programming and development, though he will continue to host and serve as executive producer of Watch What Happens: Live.

Upped from senior VP to executive VP, Cohen will continue to oversee the network’s current development and production slate out of the East and West Coast departments. This includes more than two dozen shows, such as the hits Top Chef, The Real Housewives franchise, Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, The Millionaire Matchmaker, The Rachel Zoe Project and Flipping Out.

Cohen’s late-night interactive talk show Watch What Happens: Live features guests from some of Bravo’s most popular series, along with stars from the worlds of entertainment, politics and pop culture. The third season is averaging more than 1.2 million total viewers. Cohen also continues to host the reunion specials for Bravo and continues to write Andy’s Blog, posted daily on BravoTV.com. He joined the network in 2005.

“Under Andy’s leadership and industry expertise, Bravo has enjoyed record ratings and an increase in original programming while attracting the most affluent and educated audience in cable entertainment,” said Frances Berwick, the president of Bravo Media. “With this well-deserved promotion, tirelessly wearing two hats, I have no doubt that he will continue successfully to drive the next cultural hits for Bravo, as well as host the popular interactive hit show, Watch What Happens: Live.”
