eOne Closes Deals on The Walking Dead

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO: The critically acclaimed AMC and Fox International Channels series The Walking Dead has been licensed by Entertainment One (eOne) into a number of international territories, including the U.K., with Channel 5.

In addition, DBS Satellite has acquired the pay-TV rights for Israel. In France, Orange has picked up the premium pay rights.

The show—for which eOne is handling TV, digital and DVD outside of North America, via a deal with FIC—recently concluded to record-breaking ratings in the U.S. A second season is in the works, with production slated for 2011.
