TORONTO: Wizard Hat Productions, the new family entertainment company set up by Pam Slavin, Toni Stevens and Bill Fox, is in the works on a CGI-animated series based on the award-winning Grim Hill books.

The popular five-book series follows as typical teens are paired against powerful magical creatures in the town of Grim Hill. Each tale combines celtic myth and dark faerie lore with fast-paced action and adventure. The books were first released by Lobster Press in 2007 and are penned by Linda DeMeulemeester. Wizard Hat will produce 26 half-hour episodes, aimed at a tween audience.

“Wizard Hat is thrilled to work with Lobster Press and Linda DeMeulemeester to bring these unique and exciting stories to television,” said Pam Slavin, partner and executive producer at Wizard Hat Productions. “Grim Hill has attracted legions of fans who have been asking for a TV show based on the popular books, and we’re looking forward to bringing the adventures of Cat, Sookie, Jasper and Clive to life on air.”
