TV Land Launches Second Original Series

NEW YORK: Retired at 35, TV Land’s second original sitcom, is to premiere on January 19, 2011, following the second season debut of the network’s first original series, Hot in Cleveland.

Retired at 35 stars George Segal and Jessica Walter, along with Johnathan McClain, Josh McDermitt and Ryan Michelle Bathe. The show follows an NYC businessman who decides to leave the city’s hustle and bustle and retire to Florida, 30 years early. He moves into his parents’ condo to reconnect with them, reevaluate his life and live the elusive dream of early retirement.

TV Land’s first foray into original programming, Hot in Cleveland, is heading into its second season. The first season ranked as basic cable’s number one sitcom of all time among TV Land’s target audience of 24 to 54 and total viewers.
