ID Slates Three-Parter on Prostitution

SILVER SPRING: The new three-part series Hookers: Saved on the Strip, set to air on Investigation Discovery (ID) in December, follows the story of three women who are rebuilding their lives after a career in the sex industry.

The program follows Annie, who sold her body on the Las Vegas strip for more than a decade. She now provides assistance to women caught up in sex trafficking. With the support of The Church of South Las Vegas and its lead pastor, Benny Perez, Annie set up Destiny House. This transitional home provides a safe environment for former call girls to get on a path of rebuilding, reorganizing and re-establishing their lives. Hookers: Saved on the Strip will debut December 8 at 10 p.m. on ID.

Henry Schleiff, the president and general manager of Investigation Discovery, said: "In America, more than 100,000 young women each year are bought and sold against their will, and confront the dangers of violence daily. By showcasing Annie Lobert’s innovative efforts, Hookers: Saved on the Strip shines a klieg light on this abusive and growing industry, as well as those who successfully escape from it."
