Paley Center International Council Presents Agenda Highlights

NEW YORK: The Paley Center for Media’s International Council, focused on the theme The Rebirth of Media Worldwide, will include sessions with industry experts, in-depth conversations with meeting conveners and various other social events.

The series of one-on-one sessions includes Time Warner’s CEO, Jeffrey Bewkes, being interviewed by New York Times columnist David Carr, and NBC Universal’s CEO, Jeff Zucker, who sits down with Jim Cramer, host of CNBC’s Mad Money. Additional conversations include Viacom’s CEO, Philippe Dauman; Verizon’s CEO, Ivan Seidenberg; Grupo Salinas’ chairman, Ricardo Salinas; and Google’s Nikesh Arora.

The event will also feature a rare on-stage interview with tech entrepreneur and investor Sean Parker, who helped create Napster and served as the founding president of Facebook. He will be interviewed by David Kirkpatrick, the author of The Facebook Effect, who will also moderate a separate panel session on social media, What Are Half a Billion Friends Worth?. Karen Hughes and Donal Baer, the worldwide vice chairs for Burson-Marsteller, will join Pat Mitchell, Paley Center’s president and CEO, for a discussion about politics and branding in the digital age.

The International Council will convene in New York at the Paley Center from November 17 to 19.
