LOS ANGELES: CBS is working in association with ABC Studios on a new drama series based on the bestselling novel The Pawn, with the script to be written by Charles Murray (Criminal Minds, Castle).

The story follows an FBI agent who uses geospatial investigative techniques to track high-profile crimes. Geo-profilers use locations, times, computer technology and the geography of the crime to try to catch criminals and solve crimes. The series is to be based on The Pawn, which is the first in an eight-book series from Steven James of Patrick Bowers’ thrillers. The project will be produced by Michael Goldstein and Michael Larkin of Larkin-Goldstein Productions.
