Body of Proof Finds U.K. Pay-TV Home

LONDON: UKTV’s Alibi has picked up the exclusive pay-TV rights to the ABC Studios forensic crime drama Body of Proof, starring Dana Delany.

The 13×1-hour series will be featured as part of Alibi’s first quarter schedule for 2011. The show stars Delany (Desperate Housewives) as Dr. Megan Hunt, a neurosurgeon turned medical examiner.

Alibi’s channel head, Steve Hornsey, said: "As TV’s ultimate compendium of crime drama, Alibi aims to select the very best series in the genre from around the globe. Body of Proof is exactly that. UKTV’s acquisitions manager, Alexandra Finlay, added: “We are delighted to have secured the U.K. pay-TV premiere rights to Body of Proof for Alibi. As one of the most anticipated new procedurals of this year’s screenings, and headlined by the fabulous Dana Delany, the show will be sure to excite Alibi’s viewers.”
