Paley Center Convenes International Council

NEW YORK: Jeff Bewkes, Ivan Seidenberg and Rupert Murdoch are among the executives who will take part in the Paley Center for Media’s International Council, which gathers in New York from November 17 to 19.

At the Paley Center’s Manhattan headquarters, top executives from leading media, entertainment and technology companies will convene to share insights and discuss challenges and opportunities facing the industry today. Delegates will hail from Australia, Germany, Finland, France, China, India and Turkey, among other countries. The theme of this year’s meeting is the Rebirth of Media Worldwide, with discussions to focus on the future of media and advertising, the influence of social media and mobile platforms, new revenue models, cross-platform content and the future of journalism.

The conference will feature Jeffrey L. Bewkes (Time Warner), Philippe Dauman (Viacom), Ricardo Salinas (Grupo Salinas), Jeff Zucker (NBC Universal) and Ivan Seidenberg (Verizon Communications). Also confirmed for the 17th meeting are Nikesh Arora (Google), Carol Bartz (Yahoo), Rupert Murdoch (News Corporation), Frank A. Bennack, Jr. (Hearst Corporation), Blair Westlake (Microsoft), Mehmet Ali Yalcindag (Dogan Yayin Holding), David Zaslav (Discovery Communications) and Leslie Moonves (CBS).
