MTVNI Showcasing Expanded Catalogue

CANNES/LONDON/NEW YORK: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) is at MIPCOM with a catalogue that features 5,000 hours of original programming, having notched up record presales for three of its brand-new titles. 

Offerings include Comedy Central’s Ugly Americans, which has already been sold to Channel 5 in the U.K., CTV in Canada and SBS in Australia. The preschool series Team Umizoomi scored pickups from France’s France TV and Canada’s YTV. The show has further sold across Asia to EMAS in Malaysia, MediaCorp in Singapore and EBS in South Korea. The scripted comedic drama The Hard Times of R J Berger went to Nine Network in Australia. 

The company also added two new sales directors to its team. In a newly created role, Emmanuelle Bon is handling program and format sales, together with the development of production and co-production opportunities. Bon will be based in Paris. He covers sales specifically in the French market, as well as taking on a wider role across Souther European territories. Maria Rakhmatullina-Ufland is charged with overseeing sales for the emerging markets, including the Middle East and Russia. She is based in London.
